 How to be led by the spirit of God 

The Holy Spirit is the third person of the Trinity.

1John 5:7 says, For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.

When we talk about Trinity we are not saying that God is three or divided. Trinity means the three possible ways in which God manifested himself to humanity. He dealt with us as a father from the time of Adam and Eve,  through all the days of the old testament. At the time of Christ Jesus He dealt with  His  People as a son, and now in this our dispensation, he's speaking, dwelling, residing in us as the Holy Spirit.

Don't forget that God is a spirit and His worshipper, that is, His very elects must worship Him in spirit and in truth.

To be led by the spirit of God we must first of all be born again.

2 Corinthians 5:17 says, Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

You will believe with me that before you connect your phone to other phones and transfer a file you will need a xender or a Bluetooth, the Holy Spirit of God is God's xender that connects believers to Him.

This exactly what happened in the Garden of Eden,  after creation when God created the man and kept them in the Garden of Eden they were communicating directly with God though they never see Him face to face but they could communicate through the Holy ghost which is resident in them but immediately after the Fall the holy spirit left them and they lost communication, that is, God's xender left them.

We are first of all  led by the inward witnness. Discovering of the spirit is seeing in the spirit reslm.

 The difference between the holy spirit of the old testament and the Holy Spirit of the New testament is that in the old testament the Holy Spirit Wasn't  resident in the Life of God's servants but in the New testament the Holy Spirit is resident in the lives of the believers. In the old testament they will consult the Holy Spirit who will come and perform a function and  will leave them and whenever they need any other function they will also consult again and again but in this our time the Holy Spirit is right inside our spirit, all we need do is to let him speak to us through our spirit.

It is not a to good practice to always visit any man of God or prophets to speak or see vision for us except when we are Led on some fundamental issues which donot  happen all the time because we also have the same spirit which the pastor or prophets  have, it is the same spirit at work.

Do not forget that in the old testament the Holy Spirit was permanently locked up in the holy of the holies and when there is need the high priest which are the Levites will have to consult God's spirit for special issues but when Jesus died the red curtains of the holy of holies broke into two, signifying that we now have direct access to God through His spirit at work in us. Therefore,when even when we commit any  sort  of sin against God or humanity, we are expected to go directly to the throne of Grace and ask or seek forgiveness of our sins from his throne which we already have access to.

There is no sin in which God cannot forgive us especially when we are already born again.  we are his sons and daughters. The same way our earthly parents  will never reject us for sins or crime committed against them. same way our heavenly father will always forgive us our trespasses because he loves us dearly.

So every child of God have the access to the holy spirit which serve as guide and residents in our hearts of spirit.

John14:16-17,26

John16:13-14

The Holy Spirit is a guide because he said he will guide US into all Truth, he guides our lives.

The word comforter is also translated HELPER. Romans 8:14 says, For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.

1. He is a Guide

2. He is a comforter

3. He is a counselor

4. He is an advocate

5. He is an intercessor

6. He is a standby

7. He is an instructor

If you are a Christian and born again you will find out that the word of God constitute counseling. As a child of God you are a counselor because you've got the counselling man inside of you.

Romans8:14 says, For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.

 The Word LED  is also GUIDE. A guide is one who leds you or directs you. Sons of God are expected to be led by the spirit of God.

Romans8:16 says, The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God:

You must learn as a believer to listen to The inward witness in this way two things are involved:

1. You will prosper

The word prosper or rich is full supply, abundance provision. Many Believers are waiting for the spectacular and missing the supernatural. 

2. You will  operate in the Supernatural. The Holy Spirit  operates on the supernatural and  He dwells in us we begin to operate in that same supernatural realm, for  as many as are led by the the spirit of God  are the the sons of God.

Proverbs 20:27 says, The spirit of man is the candle of the Lord, searching all the inward parts of the belly.

This means that God will englighten us and guide us through our spirit and not through our give physical senses or intellect.

We judge by  five physical senses but there is nowhere in the Bible that God told us that he will lead us through our physical senses. God led them in the old testament through their five physical senses because they didn't have the Holy Spirit resident when then.

The spirit of the man is the candle of the Lord searching the inward parts of the body and soul. This means that God guides us through our spirit.

Man is a spirit he has a soul and the body because he is made in the image of God.  Remember Jesus said God is a spirit and we must worship him in spirit. If he is made in the image of God then man must of necessity be a spirit beings because he is made in the same class with God. Remember when the man body dies his spirit lives on.

Philippians 1:21, 23-24

21. For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain.

23 . For I am in a strait betwixt two, having a desire to depart, and to be with Christ; which is far better:

24 . Nevertheless to abide in the flesh is more needful for you.

It is true your spirit that God guides you. Here Paul is saying I'm going to the party and be with the lord which is far more better. He was talking about the inward man.

2 Corinthians 4:16 says, For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day.

The inward man which is decaying is the flesh why the n-word man which is renewed is the spirit man which is being housed by the soul. This is why Paul called the n-word man I, that is his spirit man.

Some take some few scriptures out of context and try to make something out of it that the Bible did not say.

Ecclesiastes 3:20-22

20 . All go unto one place; all are of the dust, and all turn to dust again.

21. Who knoweth the spirit of man that goeth upward, and the spirit of the beast that goeth downward to the earth?

 22. Whereforeperceive that there is nothing better, than that a man should rejoice in his own works; for that is his portion: for who shall bring him to see what shall be after him?

Animals don't have spirits they don't get born again and they can't speak in tongues because they don't have spirit and are not spirit beings. If man is an animal then man can be Slaughtered and eat the same way we slaughter animals and eat.

Genesis 1:26 says, And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.

The Bible said,  God is a spirit God breathed life into man and man became a living soul.

In Hebrew, the word spirit is also translated breath, wind, anger or temper. The book of Proverbs said blessed is he that keepeth his anger is talking about the spirit. The Bible is progressive revelation. 

Paul said for me to die is gain and for me to live is Christ in this regard it is not game for him to die like dog or beast.

Philippians 1:21,23-24

24. Nevertheless to abide in the flesh is more needful for you.

2 Corinthians 5: 1-2,6,8 &16

1. For we know that if our earthly house of this tabernacle were dissolved, we have a building of God, an house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens.

2. For in this we groan, earnestly desiring to be clothed upon with our house which is from heaven:

6. Therefore we are always confident, knowing that, whilst we are at home in the body, we are absent from the Lord:

8. We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord.

16.Wherefore henceforth know we no man after the flesh: yea, though we have known Christ after the flesh, yet now henceforth know we him no more.

1Peter3:4 says,But let it be the hidden man of the heart, in that which is not corruptible, even the ornament of a meek and quiet spirit, which is in the sight of God of great price.

The inner-man (the Holy Spirit) is the real man.

2Corinthians 5:17 says,Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

1Thesselonian 5:23 says, And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Paul is praying to the church in thessalonica and he began with the inward man. If we must be led by the spirit of God we must be spiritual Conscious.

We need to think of ourselves becoming spiritual Beings.

Now what is the difference between soul and body

Hebrews 4:12 says, For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

We are more soul conscious that's paid conscious that is why the world is not penetrating to divide  asunder in our lives. Our mind is the intellectual part of our soul.

1 Corinthians 14:14 says, For if I pray in an unknown tongue, my spirit prayeth, but my understanding is unfruitful.

He says, my spirit prays and my understanding is unfruitful. When you speak in tongues it come out of your innermost belly

John7:37-39 

37. In the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried, saying, If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink.

38. He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.

39. (But this spake he of the Spirit, which they that believe on him should receive: for the Holy Ghost was not yet given; because that Jesus was not yet glorified.)

The Spirit of a man is what receive Christ and become born again.

James1:21 says, Wherefore lay apart all filthiness and superfluity of naughtiness, and receive with meekness the engrafted word, which is able to save your souls.

James wrote this letter to the church not to unbelievers. The soul of the man is not born again the flesh of the man is not born again what got born again is the spirit man and the spirit controls the physical. 

When the Bible says will be dead to flesh what is saying is we must allow the spirit to control the flesh because the spirit is what got born again, the flash didn't receive Christ but the spirit so when you allow the flesh to control the spirit then you are carnal.

Romans 12:2 says, And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

How does God leads us

He leads us through our inward witness

Romans 8:14 says, For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.

 also called the sons of God. Many people miss Healing because they don't listen to the spirit of their inner man.
